The Centerville Oral Interp entered two virtual competitions last week against many B, A, and AA schools. The following are the results. SF Washington - Circle of Courage. There were four states participating, 30 schools, and 185 total entries. Drama - Luke Knight - 17th Duet - Anna Preheim and Averie Salberg - 2nd, Jaelynn and Addison Buckneberg - 5th Humor - Luke Knight - 8th Oratory - Addison Brandsrud - 15th Reader's Theatre - Toto Too - 1st, Going Up - 2nd Centerville won the Class B Sweepstakes! Lennox Oriole. There were two states, 14 schools, and 102 total entries. Drama - Luke Knight - 26th Duet - Jaelynn and Addison Buckneberg - 9th, Anna Preheim and Averie Salberg - 10th Humor - Luke Knight - 15th Oratory - Addison Brandsrud - 16th Reader's Theatre - Going Up - 1st, Toto Too - 4th Toto Too - Gus Balison, Addison Brandsrud, Nathaniel O'Hara, Ellie Hunter, Alyssa Brandsrud Going Up - Jaelynn Buckneberg, Cole Edberg, Anna Preheim, Averie Salberg, Luke Knight

Mrs. Lindstrom was planning on hosting financial aid night for seniors and parents during conferences, but will be moving it back to early November. A letter will be sent home with a date in the near future.

The school is in the process of updating and replacing student lockers. We are selling our old lockers. The school board has surplused these old lockers for $5 per locker. The blue lockers like the one in the picture come in sets of 3 ($15). Others will be up for sale shortly. If you are interested, please call the school 605-563-2291.

Fall picture retakes will take place on this coming Monday, October 19th.

Last football game of the season tonight. The Tornadoes head to Parker to take on the Pheasants. Game time is 7 pm. Game will be live-streamed on the NFHS network. You can view the game if you have a subscription.

The results for cross country. State qualifier for boys: Gus Balison State qualifiers for girls: Sophie Eide, Lillie Eide, Tessa Eide The girls also placed 4th as a team at regions. Great job Coach Eide!!

The CHS Marching Band will be competing in their last marching competition on Friday, October 9 at 10:00 in Menno. It would be great to have you come out and support the marching band and hear some great music. The bands will be marching down main street from north to south and there will be an awards ceremony at the football field following the parade competition. Cross Country's last regular season meet is today @ Irene Golf Course. This will be the last event for many of the athletes. Races will start at 3 pm in this order: Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, JV together, JH Boys, JH Girls. Good Luck to the Tornado runners!!!
